Dr Julie Voce will join us in May to talk about her very interesting research practice. If you are a TEL/Digital Education practitioner, especially in the UK, you will have heard of Dr Voce or attended talks by her. Therefore, we are very privileged to have Dr Voce all by ourselves, even if it’s just for a short while! :-)
Dr Voce’s active engagement and enthusiasm in Digital Education are infectious. Her wealth of knowledge in TEL and TEL research means you will most definitely benefit from this talk.

Julie is Head of Digital Education and a Senior Lecturer in Educational Development at City, University of London. As Head of Digital Education, she manages the Digital Education team and is currently responsible for overseeing key institutional projects in the areas of Learning Spaces, Learning Analytics, Digital Accessibility and Digital Skills. As a Senior Lecturer in Educational Development, Julie teaches on City’s MA Academic Practice with a focus on two modules related to Developing Digital Education and Digital Literacies and Open Practice. Julie has been working in the field of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) since 2000, having previously held positions at Imperial College London (E-learning Services Manager), UCL (Learning Technologies Support Co-ordinator) and UMIST (Research Assistant). Julie completed her PhD at Lancaster University on the topic of institutional support models for TEL within UK Higher Education. Through her involvement with the ucisa Digital Education Group, she undertakes research on the use of TEL within UK Higher Education.
This talk is open to all students and staff from the Educational Research Department at Lancaster University and the general public, except suppliers and companies.
